Reticulocyte Counting Simulator - Miller Disc Method

instructions:
  1. Examine the field at 1000× magnification (oil immersion)
  2. Count reticulocytes (blue cells with dark granules) in the large square
  3. Count all RBCs (including reticulocytes) in the small square
  4. Apply edge rule: Don't count cells touching bottom/right edges of small square
  5. Calculate percentage using the formula: Retics in large square × 100 ÷ (RBCs in small square × 9)
  6. Count minimum 2,000 cells for adequate precision (multiple fields)
Cell Identification:
Mature RBC
Reticulocyte (NMB+)
